Overview |
A caliper brake is mounted on a knuckle linked to suspension of an automobile. It generates friction force with hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder, by pressing a pad and holding both sides of a rotating disc to decelerate or stop the vehicle.

|
Features |
· Low drag with optimized seal groove design
· Anti-corrosion & smooth operation by applying spring-pad made
of stainless steel
· Automatic compensation of gap caused by pad wear
· Mechanical alarm system on full wear of friction material

Operation Principle |
A piston pressurizes an inner pad on a disc with hydraulic pressure from master cylinder, and reaction force generated between rotating disc and inner pad makes a cylinder move to press an outer pad on a disc. An automobile is decelerated or stopped by the generated friction force.
