Operation Principle |
VCU takes a variety of vehicle information through CAN communication and sensor/switch inputs. Based on this information, VCU can detect driver demands and vehicle conditions to calculate optimal motor torque for each driving mode. It also performs vehicle power management in consideration of drivability and battery condition. To secure vehicle safety, VCU conducts vehicle diagnostics and fail safety functions.
