Overview |
The alternator supplies stable electricity to the electric system of an automobile and charges the battery. In addition, self diagnosis of the electric charge & discharge system for the safety of a driver and alarming & protection against abnormal operation are added. Application of the regulator of an ECU communication type is increasing.

Operation Principle |
The alternator linked to an engine crank pulley via a belt is a device which converters mechanical kinetic energy into electric energy. AC induced when magnetic field formed in a rotor alternates with a stator is converted into DC via a rectifier. The alternator maintains output voltage adequate for the automobile system by controlling excitation current of a rotor with the regulator.
